Willie Creek Pearls – Pearl Master Class
Western Australia is famous for producing the world’s largest and finest pearls. Willie Creek Pearls has been delivering award-winning tourism experiences for almost 30 years and is currently one of just four licenced pearl farmers operating commercially in Australia’s North West. The 60-minute Pearl Master Class provides an exclusive insight into the fascinating world of pearling. You will learn exactly how pearls are grown in modern day practice and enjoy a thrilling account of the rich history of pearling in Broome, Western Australia. The star of the show is the Pinctada maxima oyster, known as the largest pearl-producing oyster in the world. You will get to work with this remarkable creature throughout the master class and witness the birth of a pearl, extracted from the oyster, right in front of you. This experience is capped off with an exclusive pearl meat canapé and light refreshments.
The Perth Mint – Devonshire Tea, Tour and Gold Exhibition
Discover the magic, allure and wonder of gold with a tour, Gold Exhibition and Devonshire tea experience at The Perth Mint. Enjoy a guided walk, where you’ll hear tales of the gold mining legends and events that have shaped Western Australia. In our grand heritage building, you’ll find interactive displays and an array of pure gold exhibits, including Australia’s most dazzling collection of natural gold nuggets, and the world’s largest and most valuable gold coin! Journey to the original melting house to witness the amazing spectacle of a traditional gold pour, before relaxing in the tranquil surroundings of the inner courtyard café with a delicious Devonshire tea.

Bus routes, approximately 15 minutes depending on public transport
Route 1 – From Willie Creek Pearls to The Perth Mint
Walk along Barrack Street heading towards the city centre. Take a bus from St Georges Terrace (in front of London Court) and alight at Hill Street. Walk to The Perth Mint.
Route 2 – From The Perth Mint to Willie Creek Pearls
Take a bus from Adelaide Terrace, alight at St Georges Terrace by the Supreme Court Gardens. Walk to Willie Creek Pearls.
Walking routes, approximately 20 minutes
Route 1 – Riverside Drive and Victoria Avenue
From Willie Creek Pearls to The Perth Mint: For a scenic route of the Swan River, walk along Riverside Drive heading away from the city. Turn left onto Victoria Avenue and continue straight until you reach St Mary’s Cathedral, one of the finest examples of gothic architecture in the city. Follow Victoria Square until you reach Goderich Street, where you will turn right. Turn right again at Hill Street and you will arrive at The Perth Mint, corner of Hill and Hay Street in East Perth.
Route 2 – Hay Street and Barrack Street
From The Perth Mint to Willie Creek Pearls: To experience the inner city, walking from the east end of town to the city centre, turn right on Hay Street upon leaving The Perth Mint. Walk along Hay Street until you reach Barrack Street. Turn left and head towards The Bell Tower on the edge of the Swan River. Pass The Bell Tower and you will arrive at Willie Creek Pearls located at Barrack Square, Elizabeth Quay.

· The package is approximately 4.5 – 5 hours long and includes your own travel time between the tours. Please allow at least 20 minutes to walk between venues or take a bus or taxi/Uber for your convenience.
· Please arrive at least five minutes before each scheduled tour to allow sufficient time to check in.
· If you are participating in the 11am tour and would like some time to browse the extensive Perth Mint Shop before Devonshire tea, please arrive at The Perth Mint at 10:30am.
· Refreshments at Willie Creek Pearls are provided at the start and are consumed during the one-hour tour.
